Spectating At Galway-Cavendish Forest Rally

Warning motor sports are dangerous

The Organizers of the Galway-Cavendish Forest Rally are pleased to be able to offer three prime spectator locations for Rally fans.

Spectator Area # 1

Approximately .85 kms from 507 is the traditional viewing area we have used for many years. The ownership of the adjacent quarry has changed and we have been unable to arrange permission to use the quarry for parking as in past years. We will be reserving this principally for Service crews who wish to spectate the first three stages.

Spectators will only be allowed to leave this area at approximately the following time: To be determined (TBD) and at the conclusion of the rally.

Spectator Area # 2

Located approximately 3.9 kms from 507. Spectators using this area will be required to stay until rally is completed at end of day

Spectator Area # 3

Located approximately 8.0 kms from 507. Spectators using this area will be required to stay until rally is completed at end of day

When arriving at the stage road entry you will be directed to the spectator location that has space for parking available. While we have lots of room for spectators, parking is the restriction. We would ask that you car pool if at all possible.

See the Map and Directions link to the right for more information.

To enter the stage you will need to be at the 507 entrance no later than *TBD*. Do not speed on stage, keep your speed to a reasonable level. There may be 18 wheelers or other trucks still outbound from the quarries. You don’t want to be a hood ornament

Spectators arriving after *TBD* will not be allowed to enter the stage to proceed to the Spectator Area # 1 until Stage 4 is completed and will be able to do so only with an official escort. That time is approximately *TBD*.

Motor racing can be dangerous and serious injury is always a possibility.

Please obey the marshals and officials of the event. They are all volunteers, but without their assistance, this event could not take place.

Failure to cooperate with these instructions may cause the competition to be stopped if safety is of concern to the event organizers, stewards, or insurers.
